On the first show of 2018 we paid tribute to Rick Hall, who died this week at age 85. Hall was responsible for a lot of amazing soul music, having recorded Aretha Franklin, Percy Sledge, Etta James, Wilson Pickett and many more at his legendary Muscle Shoals Studio in Alabama. We also previewed local shows this week by Neko Case, The Felice Brothers and Richard Shindell.
